Winthrop Harbor Post Bartenders Support Local Schools

Post 7448 Webmaster - 9/3/2019

The post bartenders were inspired to help out their local community.  With the new school year approaching they decided to help out Winthrop Harbor School District #1 to include Westfield Elementary School and North Prairie Junior High School.

Jen Davison posted this message on Facebook, "A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated supplies, money, and time to make The Bartenders 1st school supply fundraiser a BIG success... We were able to fully pack 82 bags with all supplies needed to get the 2019-2020 school year started and 20 bags packed with miscellaneous items to help other students get a start on some items."  Jen and her fellow bartenders collected numerous school supplies and collected monetary donations that helped purchase remaining items to support the student requirements lists.  This will ensure all students have the tools needed to learn and accomplish great things.

The Post Membership are extremely proud of their efforts.  We would also like to thank the membership, Auxiliary, family, friends and patrons that donated.  It adds to the benefit the post accomplishes in helping out Veterans and the local community.  Great job team!
